for my babies 100 days old celebration (백일), this is one of the gifts we’re getting her. It’s a 24k golden spoon to symbolize that her life will be an easy path with many things handed to her simply for being our little princess ☺️. just a decoration she can always keep to remember that she was born to be spoiled and that nothing is too good for her. you know, like the phrase “you were born with a silver spoon in your mouth”. well she’s born with a golden spoon in her mouth.
this happened yesterday and was so cute. I got my nails done yesterday at a new place, and there was an Eastern European woman there who in terms of her dressing just looked clean, not necessarily over the top nor very minimalistically dressed or anything, just a basic woolen crew neck, jeans and knee high soft boots, no heel. How it did appear that she took care of herself was that her hair was done, her lashes were done, she had some Mls in her lips and just looked like a natural beauty.
I was sitting there waiting on my apppointment, and she had come in and out of the waiting room (where also the checkout was) a few times, but I didn’t really clock anything special. Then all of a sudden I ask ( I was also stoned, no thoughts behind it) which colour she got done for her nails and she showed me her nails, which were like colour 019 for those who get biab often and then she told me she had to be a bit calmer on the colours, as she was pregnant.
I asked her when her due date was, and she then said “today”. 😂
I was basically joking to her about how she had put me in a situation and how I only came to get my nails done and how I wouldn’t be able to deliver her baby and we laughed, and she then told me that she was a bit nervous because she saw that there were no days left to count down from and I told her that at least she’ll be done with it now, and the next time I come I will see her with the baby etc. We then parted ways, only to find out that she was the owner of the salon. What also really fucking motivated me was that she looked so good and made sure her outlook was 10/10 (nails, hair, lashes, (my nail lady said she also had done her toes a few days ago) and that for someone who is supposed to be giving birth that same day.
Think I have said it before but you really never know who you could talk to or what could happen, or who you connect with, and in the same breath I say, what’s your excuse?
Either way, it was just a nice story to tell you and she positively impacted my day and I hope I did the same to her
Nothing about me is bare minimum: my work ethic, how i show up for myself, how i care for myself, how i spoil myself, how I prioritize myself, how I show up for and love others…so I would accept bare minimum from literally anybody else?
